Japanese Beauty

The Japanese Geisha
8 Feb 2014 | From Phoebe of Taiwan
FACEBOOK SWAP | POSTCARD SENT FROM TAIWAN

Phoebe bought this postcard from her trip to Japan December 2013. She wrote a few things about the card. She shared that Geishas are merely performers, and are not prostitutes. They are traditional Japanese female entertainers who act as hostesses and whose skills include performing various Japanese arts such as classical music, dance and games. The meaning of gei is "art" and sha means "person of".
