SURPRISE POSTCARD

This is a surprise postcard from Opeyemi. We were able to swap postcards before, and after receiving my postcard she told me that I am now one of her favourite people :p I don't know why that is, but it sure feel nice reading that.

Ope filled the postcards with lots of Grenadian stamps. She just saved enough space for my address and a short message. The postcard shows the spices of Grenada.  Grenada is also known as the "Island of Spice" because of the production of nutmeg and mace crops of which Grenada is one of the world's largest exporters.

Grenada is also a leading producer of several different spices. The spices of Grenada are fresh and authentic. Bay leaf, bird pepper, black pepper, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, mace, allspice, orange/citrus peels, turmeric, wild coffee used by the locals, and especially nutmeg are all important exports. The nutmeg on the nation's flag represents the economic crop of Grenada.

POSTCROSSING SWAP

Opeyemi, who is originally from Nigeria, is currently in Grenada for her studies. She is attends St. George’s University, an independent, for-profit, international university in Grenada, West Indies, offering degrees in medicine, veterinary medicine, public health, the health sciences, nursing, arts and sciences, and business.

The postcard shows The Thanksgiving Memorial, built in commemoration of the US servicemen who died in the 1983 Intervention. It overlooks the Bagadi Bay at St. George's University, True Blue Campus.
