This postcard is from the 4th Postcrossing Philippines Provincial Meetup held last 19th March 2015 in Cebu City. There were about 11 attendees based from the Postcrosser's signature at the back of the postcard. I have never been to a Postcrossing Meetup. Hope I can be able to attend one. October 2015 marks my third year as a Postcrossing member.

The postcard, which is definitive for the Postcrossing Meetup in V+Cebu, shows the Mactan-Mandaue Bridge. Popularly called as The First Mactan-Mandaue Bridge, it is the first of the two bridges spanning across the Mactan Channel and connecting the islands of Cebu and Mactan.

The 846-meter long and 9-meter wide box truss bridge was constructed during the term of the late President Ferdinand Marcos. The construction began in 1970, a year after the declaration of Mandaue as a chartered city. It was inaugurated on July 4, 1971. Finished in 1972 at a cost of 65 million pesos. The bridge was designed and created wholly by Filipino engineers

This postcard is from a Postcrossing Meet-up in Lille last Nov. 11, 2013 that Melissa attended. It is full of greetings and signatures of the attendees. I have never attended a Postcrossing Meet-up before. It would be nice to attend one and get to know fellow postcrossers.

Lille is a city in the North of France. It is the principal city of the Lille Métropole, the fourth-largest metropolitan area in France after those of Paris, Lyon and Marseille.
