Literatų Street, situated very close to the main street of the Vilnius Old Town Pilies str., is one of the attractive tourist places in Vilnius. It's a place where you can find artworks mounted on the walls of street celebrating everyone who has link with Lithuania and is important in the Lithuanian or world literature. Varying in style and size, the tributes lining the street pay homage to poets and writers who have have influenced Lithuanian literature. Ceramics, sculpture, glass, and wallpainting awaits you.
Vilnius is the capital of Lithuania, and its largest city. In 2009, Vilnius was the European Capital of Culture, together with the Austrian city of Linz. It is classified as a Gamma global city according to GaWC studies, and is known for its Old Town of beautiful architecture, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.
