This is the postcard Foysal sent me as replacement for the lost card he previously sent me last May 2013.

The name of the SAARC Fountain was taken from the acronym of SAARC which stands for South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation. It was established in December 1985 by the head of States of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives. The SAARC Fountain is located at pantha Path in Dhaka city.

Nitun Kundu, a Bangladeshi artist made the fountain with his vision and creative idea. It is made with only steel; beautifully illuminated during the night while the light is focused on the rolling fountain water.
