Legend of the Northern Lights
25 Oct, 2013 | From Erling of Norway
Erl shared that Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun are quite special in their country. And many people are fascinated by those two phenomenon. The magical northern lights, or aurora borealis, a spectacular colourful lightshow which dances across the sky. While The Midnight Sun is an unbroken 24-hour period of sunlight that only occurs in Europe in the Arctic Circle in summertime when the conditions are right.
One of the many legends about the Northern Lights is the story of a flock of swans that flew too far north, and were frozen into the ice. Every time the swans beat their wings to try to get free, the Lights came across the sky.
