This postcard reminds me of some Great Goddess of Japan or some Asian-goddess of the far-east realm - a female being of supernatural powers or attributes and ethereal beauty that is worshiped by a people. Perhaps I watch too much anime.
Asian mythology includes a vast number of gods, goddesses, deities, and spirits. Most stories concern the creation of the world, divine origins, myths and history, rise of a kingdom, and the activities of deities, humans, animals, and magical creatures. Some myths describe characters and events associated with particular places. Others are set in legendary locations, such as the heavens or the underworld.
