The Wroclaw ZOO

Ilona bought this postcard at Wroclaw ZOO during her visit to her hometown in Poland and then in Slovakia. Wroclaw ZOO, established in 1865, is the oldest zoo in Poland and has the largest collection of animals in Poland, with almost 7,000 in number from 600 different species, in an area covering 33 hectares.

In the postcard is a jelenie or a red deer. They are typical in the rainforests of of Poland. Ilona describes them as very beautiful creatures.
