Palacio Salvo

POSTCROSSING SWAP

Uruguay is a country in the southeastern region of South America. It is geographically the second-smallest nation in South America after Suriname. Montevideo, its capital and largest city, is one of the top and most economically powerful cities Latin American. It is classified as a Beta World City, and described as a "vibrant, eclectic place with a rich cultural life", and "a thriving tech center and entrepreneurial culture".

Shown in the postcard is the Palacio Salvo. Constructed in 1928, Palacio Salvo is a historical landmark building done in a predominantly Italian Gothic-style, with classic and neo-romanticism influences as well. It was built by Italian immigrant Mario Palanti, and is located at the intersection of Plaza Independencia and 18 de Julio Avenue.
