A souvenir postcard from Macau

Church of St. Francis Xavier

SOUVENIR POSTCARD FROM MACAU | POSTCARD SENT FROM HONG KONG

Jen is one of the friends I was with during my Hong Kong and Macau trip. We only spent a day in Macau. And we were like participants of The Amazing Race as we only have a limited time. We were running and walking everywhere, bought souvenirs and snacks, walked some more, took a lot of photos, and have gone to different places. It was tiring but it was also a lot of fun. We enjoyed every streets and architectures which were a mixture of Chinese and Portuguese influences.

We were supposed to mail the postcards from Macau, but we got lost locating the postal office. We just mailed the cards during our last day in Hong Kong.

About the postcard, the Church of St. Francis Xavier was built in 1928. It is located in Largo Eduardo Marques, Coloane. This chapel follows the baroque style of Macau's major churches. It has a cream and white facade with oval windows and a bell tower. It stands behind the monument commemorating the local victory over pirates in 1910. I was able to visit this church while in Macau.
