Half-timbered House

OFFICIAL POSTCROSSING
The postcard shows a half-timbered house near Lüdinghausen, Münsterland. Half- timbered houses are typical to Germany. Colour, style, and structure varies from region to region.
Most of the traditional houses in major German citie were destroyed during the World War II. Surviving half-timbered houses today can be found in smaller towns and villages. These are usually top tourist spots and are considered to be well hidden jewels.
