This is an interesting illustration of The Wizard of Oz, a children's novel written by L. Frank Baum. I really like the gothic look the artist gave the characters. It gives a darker, more moody feeling.

About the novel, it tells the adventures of a young girl named Dorothy Gale in the Land of Oz, after being swept away from her Kansas farm home in a cyclone. On her way down the road of yellow bricks, she met the Scarecrow, the Cowardly Lion, and the Rusted Tin man. They journeyed together, and faced several obstacles along the way. They reached Emerald City to meet the Wizard -- and their adventures continued henceforth.
