A flea market, or swap meet, is a type of bazaar that rents space to people who want to sell or barter merchandise. Used goods, low quality items, and high quality items at low prices are commonplace.

Several fleamarkets are found across Karlsruhe that sells goods from fruits, vegetables, food, clothing, furniture, and other low quality items or high quality items at low prices. Everyone is assured to have good, interesting finds. Karlsruhe has regular fleamarkets (flohmarkt) on a weekly and monthly basis as well as hosting a large market 3 times each year. Flea market in at Messplatz Karlsruhe is one of the biggest in the South Germany. 

Karlsruhe is the second-largest city in the state of Baden-Württemberg, in southwest Germany, near the Franco-German border.
